BP-1941

Tetrahydrofuran (THF), which is widely used as a mobile phase for GPC, attacks the Viton® O-rings of the standard CHROMWARE® systems (economy, integrated and three valve). THF-resistant versions of the integrated and three valve systems are shown below. The only changes required to make an economy system THF-resistant are: replace the standard inlet filters (BP-1916-000) with all-stainless-steel inlet filters (BP-1916-621), and the size 216 Viton® O-ring at the base of the three hole cap with a size 216 Kalrez® O-ring(BP-1240-026).

The integrated and three valve cap systems have been made into THF-resistant systems by: replacing all Viton® O-rings with Kalrez® O-rings and the standard stainless steel inlet filters, which have CTFE components, with conventional all-stainless-steel filters.
