DescriptionKit is designed for use with USEPA method for total cyanide analysis by midi distillation in water and soils, Method 335.2 CLP-M. The midi distillation method covers the determination of cyanide within a semi-automated colorimetric analysis of the distillate. It is defined as cyanide ion and complex cyanides converted to hydrocyanic acid. The reaction occurs in a reflux system with mineral acid in the presence of magnesium ions.
